ARETE CHAT CAMPAIGN

ARETE launched a live twitter campaign within the scope of Pilot 1 and Pilot 2 implementations, which ran from 13 to 30 June.

The aim was to involve as many pilot teachers as possible so they could share their implementation experiences, help project partners understand what pilot teachers liked the most about the pilot study and what difficulties have been encountered during the implementation stage.

13 questions were published in the afternoon in order to give teachers time to finish their academic activities; this way teachers could better engage and provide more thorough feedback to the questions.

Most responses came from the first question “Did your students have fun when using the ARETE Geography app/ARETE Geometry app or ARETE Read and Spell app?” where pilot teachers underlined the entertaining educational aspect which “aroused the curiosity and interest” of students, and that “pupils enjoyed placing the AR object around the classroom” feeling that the lesson was “a game, not a task”.

In q5. “What were the main benefits of using the ARETE Geography app/ARETE Geometry app or ARETE Read and Spell app for your students?” teachers highlighted, for instance, lessons becoming “more dynamic” thanks to the Geometry app, or that students realised there are “many ways through which to learn something” and overall engagements grew as a result of “increased motivation of the students”.
