About the Call

ARETE Pilot 1 will investigate the effects of Augmented Reality (AR) on English literacy attainment by piloting the WordsWorthLearning’s interactive AR mobile application for teaching and learning English language literacy. The solution will be tested with primary school students, typically underperforming in standardised English language literacy tests. 

 

Who participated?

The call for applications focused on English teachers or Special Needs Assistants (SNAs) of pupils aged between 9 and 12 years old in September 2021 in primary schools from EU, the UK and H2020 associated countries where English is the main teaching language.

 

Final selection 

From a total of 150 participants in two Open Calls, one for Teacher Coordinators and one for Pilot Teachers, 17 were selected to implement Pilot 1 in the following countries:

  • Sweden
  • Luxembourg
  • Italy
  • United Kingdom



About the Call

ARETE Pilot 2 will study the impact of Augmented Reality (AR) technologies on STEM skills learning and retention by piloting two immersive AR mobile applications for learning Geography and Geometry, provided by CleverBooks, and develop both pupils’ spatial and visual cognition.

 

Who participated?

The call for applications focused on Teachers of subjects where geometry (mathematics) or geography topics can be addressed with pupils in grade 4 or 5 (regardless of the age) as of September 2021.

 

Final selection                                                       

From a total of 372 participants in two Open Calls, one for Teacher Coordinators and one for Pilot Teachers, 166 were selected to implement Pilot 2 in the following countries:
